Student Wellbeing & Support
At Bencubbin Primary School, student wellbeing is central to everything we do. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported and connected, and we work proactively to support students’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Our staff take a whole-child approach to learning, building positive relationships and creating a nurturing environment where students feel confident to engage, take risks in their learning and ask for help when needed.
Wellbeing and support
We provide a range of wellbeing supports to meet the diverse needs of our students. This includes access to chaplaincy services, targeted learning support, and wellbeing programs that promote resilience, positive relationships and emotional regulation.
Students who require additional support are closely monitored, with strategies and individual plans put in place where appropriate. We work in partnership with families and, when needed, external services to ensure students receive consistent and timely support.
A supportive school environment
Wellbeing is supported through everyday school practices, including student wellness days, positive behaviour approaches, inclusive classroom environments and opportunities for students to connect through sport, cultural activities and school events.
By fostering a strong sense of belonging and care, we aim to support every student to feel valued, supported and ready to learn.
