Student Voice

At Bencubbin Primary School, we believe students thrive when they feel genuinely heard, respected and involved in shaping their learning and school community.

Student voice is embedded across our school, from classroom learning experiences where students reflect on their goals, share feedback and contribute ideas, to whole-school opportunities that encourage leadership, responsibility and ownership. Through classroom discussions, student surveys and regular feedback opportunities, students are supported to express their thoughts, reflect on their progress and take an active role in their learning journey.

Student Council

Our Student Council provides a formal platform for student voice within the school. Council members represent their peers by contributing to school decision-making, helping organise events, and leading initiatives that matter to students.

In our small school environment, every student has the opportunity to participate, develop leadership skills and make a meaningful contribution to school life. These experiences help build confidence, teamwork and a strong sense of belonging, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing capable and confident learners.
